Jay Putty is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, raised in Indiana with his hometown in Evansville, who has been creating for twelve years. He makes cinematic pop, grown out of folk-pop, for BookTok and romantasy readers, and he produces or co-produces every song he releases.
His world is gothic, romantic and high fantasy: swords, candles, velvet and costume, built to feel like stepping into the books his listeners love. His new record, The People I Have Loved and Loved Me Back, arrived September 25, 2026: seven songs about the people who changed him.
His music has charted on iTunes in 56 countries, his cinematic cover of Iris became a top-500 trending song on TikTok, and he draws about 500,000 Spotify streams a month. His songs have been placed with Teen Mom, Ralph Lauren, Busch Gardens and DraftKings.
